Six-stage filtration with reverse osmosis

The main advantage of the new purifier is its advanced filtration system using reverse osmosis (RO) technology with a flow rate of 100G and ultra-fine filtration of 0.0001 μm. According to the manufacturer, it can remove up to 99.9% of lead, 99.8% of cadmium, and 99.0% of residual chlorine. The overall purification efficiency reaches 74.1%, significantly exceeding Chinese national first-class standards. The device is designed with safety in mind – the main water channels are bisphenol-free, and the outlet channels are made without the use of silicone. For comparison, in the Czech Republic, domestic water treatment systems must comply with European standards EN 1717 and EN 15975, which, however, primarily assess the safety of the device, not the filtration efficiency itself.

Skutečný var a rychlé chlazení

For this model, Xiaomi uses Samsung’s patented intelligent pressurized boiling system, which allows reaching a true temperature of 100°C in the internal piping system. Subsequently, an integrated heat exchange mechanism quickly cools the water to the desired temperature. Users can choose from a temperature range of 40°C to 95°C, covering the needs for preparing various beverages from cold water to hot teas.

An interesting feature is the option to set a mode where water is first brought to a boil and then quickly cooled to room temperature, which, according to the manufacturer, provides an additional level of purification while maintaining a pleasant temperature for immediate consumption.

Smart features with NFC and mobile app

The purifier is equipped with a 5-inch colour TFT display that shows water temperature, dispensing volume, operating modes, water quality, and filter status. But Xiaomi also adds a modern control method – the device includes an NFC reader that allows triggering predefined programs. The package includes an NFC sticker that you can place on the bottom of your favourite cup, and the purifier will then automatically prepare water according to your preferences when placed near the reader.

The device can also be controlled remotely via the Xiaomi Mijia app. Here you can not only monitor the remaining lifespan of the filter element but also create your own hydration plan.

Well-designed tank system

The purifier features a 4-litre clean water tank and a 1.8-litre wastewater tank. Xiaomi states that the design prevents backflow, further contributing to the hygiene of the entire system. It also includes a 1.2-litre independent clean water tank equipped with UV sterilization to eliminate bacteria, including E.coli.

Availability and price

The Xiaomi Mijia Desktop Water Purifier Cold Boiled Water Edition is currently on pre-sale on Chinese JD.com for 2,699 yuan (approximately 8,800 CZK). The official sale will begin on July 15th at midnight. Early customers can use a discount coupon that reduces the price to 2,564 yuan (about 8,350 CZK). We do not yet have information about potential availability on the European market.
