For some time now, Google has been helping users unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters directly in promotional emails. In April, it even enriched Gmail with a mobile subscription management center where all subscribed newsletters can be found with the option to easily unsubscribe. Until now, however, this feature only worked in the mobile app, which is now changing, and the „Manage Subscriptions“ feature is now also heading to the web interface.

On phones, the feature is available directly in the sidebar under the Trash folder, but on the web, the location is slightly different. You can now find the management section in the left inbox panel after clicking on „More„, between Spam and Manage Labels.

After clicking on „Manage Subscriptions„, you will be taken to a clear page with all your newsletters. A screenshot of the new feature’s location was provided by the AndroidAuthority portal.

From this page, you can see an overview of all subscriptions, view the history of emails from a given sender, or unsubscribe with a single click.

Gmail may not register changes immediately

However, Google warns that unsubscribing from a subscription may not be immediate; some emails may still arrive for a few days after unsubscribing. So, if a particular subscription is truly bothering you, the best thing to do is block the sender immediately.

The feature is also being rolled out gradually, so if you don’t see it in Gmail yet, don’t despair; it should be available to everyone soon.
