Xiaomi is preparing to launch the cheap model Redmi 15C in the near future, which will be the successor to last year’s budget model 14C. However, as is often the case, it failed to keep all the details secret. Not only officially looking images of the phone in all color variants appeared online, but also information about prices and key specifications. It looks like it will be an interesting choice for those who are primarily looking for long battery life at a low price.

Giant battery in a cheap phone

According to leaked information, the main attraction of the new Redmi 15C will be a 6,000 mAh capacity battery, a value often not offered even by much more expensive phones. The battery will be rechargeable using 33W charging, which is a decent value for the price category. The phone should feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a classic teardrop notch for the selfie camera.

In terms of performance, it will be a basic model with a MediaTek processor from the Helio series, which will offer only 4G connectivity. Two memory variants will be available – 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The phone should run on Android 15 with the HyperOS 2 overlay.

New design and color variants

Compared to its predecessor, there has been a significant design change. While the Redmi 14C had a circular camera module, the new model opted for a square camera module similar to the one we know from the Redmi Note 14 series. It houses two cameras.

Leaked renders show that the Redmi 15C will be available in four color options: Moonlight Blue (blue), Twilight Orange (orange), Midnight Black (black), and Mint Green (green/turquoise). An interesting feature is that the model designation is written in a handwritten style on the back of the phone.

Price and availability

Thanks to a prematurely published page on an Italian e-shop, we also know the European prices. The basic variant with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage will cost 133.90 euros (approximately 3,300 CZK), while the upgraded version with 256 GB storage will cost 154.90 euros (about 3,800 CZK). In some countries, the phone might also appear under the Poco C85 brand with the same or only slightly modified specifications.

According to certification documents, the phone could be launched as early as this month, although Xiaomi sometimes releases its products later than model numbers suggest. In any case, it seems that the official premiere is not far off.
